Soliloquy
Soliloquy is a Saturday Jazz, Percussion, Reggae, Hip Hop, Poetry Showcase & Open Mic. It gives young, up-and-coming poets and emcees the opportunity to showcase their work to an audience of their peers. The open mic gives artists a space where they can showcase new material. It also gives new artists a chance to perform in front of an audience. Doors open at h.13

RULES:Open Mic participants are allowed to recite One spoken word piece, One Verse, or One Song with the DJ and/or live band. Participants are allowed to bring their own music or request to recite their work acapella. Participants may be asked back on stage to perform another piece depending on the volume of people signed up and if time allows.

Mindfulness Midnight
Mind·ful·ness mīn(d)f(ə)lnəs A mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.
Mindfulness Midnight is a melding of mind and music; Come listen, groove and sweat with us to some consciousness level raising beats. DJs are welcome to come through, take the booth and share. (Every Friday)

Live Painting
Live painting is a form of visual performance art in which artists begin and complete a visual art piece inspired by the person on the open mic.
This event consist of physical participation by spectators/hosts and or guests by adding imagery and color during the event on a larger than life canvas. Haven uses live paintings to restore people, relationships, and communities through art. This aims to be an effective tool in the restoration process by first creating trusting relationships through art, regardless of race, age, culture, or socioeconomic status. From these relationships, Havens art seeks to help bring about redemption, reconciliation, and then transformation.
The Live Artist teams from Haven's Art Studio are examples of Live Artists who collaborate on works of art during Live Art Performances. They paint the thematic works that not only echo what they are inspired from in the moment, but world events with a positive redemptive message.
This platform allows one to create original and authentic pieces in real time. The art pieces created at Haven will be placed throughout the public spaces of Lisbon.

Kick some wisdom on Wisdom Wednesdays. There's no greater knowledge than the knowledge of self! So, bring yourself, perform your best Spoken word (poem) and compete for a chance to be invited back to Haven for our Friday Night Spoken Word (poetry) Slam!
Doors open at h21. (Every Wednesday except first Wednesday of the Month)
RULES: The first 10 people to sign up are allowed 3 minutes to showcase spoken word. Three selected judges will rate the performance on a scale from 1 to 10. The 5 who score highest are invited to participate in the following round where they recite a 2nd poem. The top 3 move on to the final round.

Spoken ˈspōkən/ word wərd/is a performance art that is word based. It is an oral art that focuses on the aesthetics of word play and intonation and voice inflection. It is a 'catchall' which includes any kind of poetry recited aloud, including hip hop, jazz poetry, poetry slams, traditional poetry readings and can include comedy routines and 'prose monologues'.

It was created to give young, up-and-coming Spoken word (poets) and emcees the opportunity to open up their minds and showcase their work to an audience of their peers. It also gives new artists a chance to perform and express themselves in front of a live and diverse audience.

Block Party
The Neptune Brigade Block Party is a family-friendly, free neighborhood street fair that brings together residents for a community-wide celebration. This FREE to the public bi-annual festival features live music and dance performances alongside a huge selection of activities for people of all ages and great food to satisfy the appetite. The afternoon event, becomes a pedestrian thoroughfare lined with more than twenty, artist and musicians. The bi-annual event is a festive one that showcases the creativity, vitality, and diversity of Santa Caterina area.
